Overview of audience
The initial audience is the Auditor and Finance people within the organization.
Initially, the internal infrastructure of the mission organization is set up for the sole purpose of keeping the books. A very small mission organization does not need regular auditing, but when they do, the books need to be in good shape. The initial "audience" for the internal database is whoever takes care of the finances of the mission. The second-most important audience is the auditor when auditing becomes necessary.
Other technological growth during this time
During this time, organizations usually vary a bit in their setup.
Infrastructure
Missions, at this point, are often still using peer-to-peer networks. Wireless may or may not be used (wireless networks are easier to initially set up than wired ones). The infrastructure is usually a single router/switch (usually a wireless broadband router) connected to the Internet (Usually DSL).
Data
They will often have a static webpage that has a mission statement, statement of faith, and contact information. Contact management is usually done on an individual level (people use outlook, donormanager, etc. Usually not with a central, shared system.)
What causes a mission to move to next stage
Most missions start to move to the next stage when they want to start sharing their contact information with each other. This usually moves them to the next audience
