Accessible Technology

- Inveneo a nonprofit the "focuses on designing, integrating and supporting affordable technology systems that match the needs of people and organizations in under-served areas of the world." They have some lower costs solutions
- AMD's 50x15 initiative - aims to provide ICT access to 50% of the world by 2015.

Used Computers
There are a number of organisations which refurbish used computers and pass them on to charities, hospitals, orphanages, schools, and other non-profit groups. You can find a number of them listed in the Computer Re-use Optimisation Project. gjs

Outlet Stores
Some companies run outlet stores to move computers that have been refurbished or not delivered. Dell outlet computers can be viewed on the following pages, orders can be made by anyone (ie. no account required with Dell) quoting the DFO number to the Dell representative.
