This site was originally part of the Crosscape Technology Ltd web site. Crosscape is a mission that specialises in providing IT services to Missions in Australia, and in involving Christians in the Technology industry in missions. As well as Crosscape, others, including Lightsys were involved in creating the content.

In mid 2006 it was decided to split the wiki from the Crosscape site to give it its own identity.

A Wiki is a great way to capture the knowledge of a community. ICCM, the International Conference on Computers and Missions, is the community of IT workers in Missions. ICCM has email lists and a web site, but no way of categorising and storing this knowledge. We hope that this wiki becomes a useful tool to capture that knowledge and to share it with others.

We also hope that this wiki will prove useful for those in the industry investigating how technology is used in Missions, and how God might be wanting to use thier skills. So when writing consider this audience as well.
